Charles J. Gbur, MD, FACC, FSCAI, DMO

Dr. Charles Gbur is one of a handful of physicians in the country who specializes in diving and hyperbaric medicine.  He is a practicing interventional cardiologist in the Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan area.  Additionally, he has received additional  training in diving and hyperbaric medicine.   In 2007, he became a diplomat of the America Board of Preventive Medicine with subspecialty certification in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine.  He currently practices hyperbaric medicine at The Toledo Hospital, which houses the areas only hyperbaric chambers.     

Dr. Gbur's interest include mixed gas physiology, the diving and the cardiovascular system and  reducing the risk associated with diving (Operational Risk Management).  Dr. Gbur can provide consultative service in diving medicine, medical aspects of commercial diving operations,  operational risk management and other areas related to diving and hyperbaric enviroments.  He is also available to see patients with diving related  medical conditions or in divers with pre-existing medical problems.  If you would like to schedule an appointment, please call (419) 872-7703 or click on "schedule my appointment".
